Sep 21, 2006 (newstodate): On October 1, Belarusia's Minsk-1 Airport plans to complete a series of reconstruction works to modernise the airport.
With new passenger facilities, the airport will be able to handle up to 180,000 passenger per year, and the airport expects new routes to be added shortly.
Minsk-1 Airport, established in 1933 and now dedicated to domestic and CIS flights, also expects to see an increase in cargo traffic with the new facilies in place.
