Sep 20, 2006 (newstodate): Air Greenland has signed a Passenger GSA agreement with Aviareps AG.
This is the carrier's first GSA agreement and is initiated to promote sales on the prospected route between Baltimore, USA, and Kangerlussuaq/Sdr Stromfjord slated to start from May 2007.
A provision in the GSA agreement states that Aviareps may in the future represent Air Greenland in any new market to be included in the carrier's sales effort.
So far Air Greenland has relied solely on sales on the trunk route between Greenland and Denmark, and the opening of the airline's first route to the USA may increase the volumes so as to warrant future capacity increases.
The airline currently operate one Boeing 757-200 and one Airbus A330-200 aircraft in addition to Dash-7, Super King Air, Twin Otter and rotary-wing aircraft.
