Aug 21, 2006 (newstodate): The brave attempt to take the bankrupt Swedish airline Swe-Fly back to the air seems to have lost steam.
A project was engineered by the Indian lcc SpiceJet to revive Swe-Fly and cooperate on setting up a new route network connecting destinations in India with destination in Europe and the USA, using Stockholm Skavsta Airport as a hub.
The construction built on recapitalisation of Swe-Fly through new loans that were expected to fall into place in June.
Since then, no news have surfaced, however, and the solicitor handling the bankruptcy case has now become silent.
