In the period January-July, the carrier lifted a total of 2,103 tonnes, an increase by 24 percent year-on-year.
Generating a total of "some" 3,000 tonnes of cargo in 2005, the carrier is implementing a strategy aiming at strong cargo growth.
Adria Airways recently launched a new freighter route between Ljubjlana and Liege, and acquired a SAAB 340 freighter aircraft.
Plans are to add one more SAAB 340 freighter this autumn, and the carrier thus expects its cargo volumes to increase by some 30 percent in 2006.
