Aug 15, 2006 (newstodate): Flight tests on the Russian cargo aircraft TU 204-120CE have now been completed.
The final tests ended on August 2, and the aircraft has now been handed back to the Aviastar-SP aircraft manufacturer to be readied for the acceptance by its Chinese customer.
China has ordered a total of five TU-204-120CE freighers for delivery from September this year.
A special updated export-version cargo aircraft equipped with instrument display featuring British measurement system, the TU-204-120CE is the first Russian jet fitted with automated data-link system transmitting systems and engines related information, and its cargo capacity is increased up to 98 percent due to an additional cargo container position in the tail section.
