Aug 28, 2006 (newstodate): Russia's United Aircraft Building Corporation will be registered in September, and the Federal government will hold 75 percent of the stake.
Comprised by this new entity to be headed by Alexei Fedorov of the MIG Russian Plane Building Corporationgeneral director, will be Sukhoi, MIG, Ilyushin, Tupolev, Kazan Aviation Production Association, Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Production Association, Nizhny Novgorod Aircraft Building Plant Sokol, and Novosibirsk Aviation Production Association.
The new conglomerate will have an annual capacity to build up to 120commercial aircraft, against today's nine.
