Aug 24, 2006 (newstodate): Russia's new United Aircraft Construction Corp, established to consolidate the Russian aerospace industry, may be partly privatised from next year, already.
This will pave the way for foreign investments in the country's ailing aircraft production.
So far foreign investments have been limited to a maximum of 50 percent, holding back the foreign interest that would prefer at majority stake. This may now become possible as the limit for Russian ownership may be lowered to 49 percent as proposed in a proposal for an Act on the Aviation Activities.
