Aug 22, 2006 (newstodate): The Serb government is mulling plans for a privatisation of JAT Airways.
According to industry sources, Serbia's minister of finance has stated that in a longer perspective Jat will not be able to survive without entering of a strategic partnership with one or more partners.
The governments currently evaluates two options, either an outright privatisation, or a joint state/private partnership on a contractual basis with outside parties.
The government, however, said is has no plans to privatise Belgrade Airport.
