Aug 8, 2006 (newstodate): From August 14, Russia has warned Armenia that it will no longer provide its air carriers with air navigation services.
Armavia alone had accumulated a debt to Russia of more than USD 2.5 million for unpaid air navigation serves, Russia claims.
The parties agreed on a payment scheme in February, but Armenia has ceased payment entirely since Armavia's A320 crash on May 3, Russia says.
Armenia, however, claims that it is still observing the payment scheme earlier agreed upon, and refutes the Russian stand.
