Aug 22, 2006 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Ural Airlines has signed a contract with Lufthansa Technik to enter an exchange pool of aircraft spares for western aircraft.
The contract will run for initially five years.
-We are already planning to expand our cooperation with Ural Airlines. Since the 1990ies, Lufthansa Technik has been supporting not only everyday flight operations but also introducing into service Airbus 310 and 320 aircraft family as well as Boeing 737, 757, 767, and 777. We are ready to provide support to stable airlines starting foreign aircraft operation within the next decade, says Dimitry Zaitsev, Lufthansa Technik regional director, marketing and sales in Eastern Europe and the CIS States.
