Aug 11, 2006 (newstodate): To cope with increasing traffic loads and plan for new destinations, Latvian carrier airBaltic will add one more Boeing 737-500 aircraft before the end of this year.
In the plan are the opening of a further two new routes following the latest addition of a route from Riga to Kaliningrad from July 2, Russia, and from Kaliningrad to Copenhagen from August 16.
airBaltic now operates a fleet comprising seven Boeing 737-500 and nine Fokker 50 aircraft serving 33 routes from Riga and 14 from Vilnius.
