Aug 9, 2006 (newstodate): Finnair has signed a comprehensive comprehensive component servicing
agreement with SR Technics to support its planned Airbus A340 fleet.
Under the contract, SR Technics will assume responsibility for Finnair's A340 component management as well as pooling services, maintenance and engineering.
The agreement also comprises the set up of a components store at Helsinki to provide a local source of components, along with all associated logistics services between Zurich and Helsinki.
In December, 2005, Finnair announced its decision to acquire 12 Airbus wide-body aircraft, including nine A350-900 and three A340-300 aircraft, with options for another four A350 and an unannounced number of A340 aircraft.
