Aug 31, 2006 (newstodate): Ranking among Estonia's major forwarding companies, Estma expects to see its air cargo volumes up by 15-20 percent in 2006.
-We are growing fast since Estonia's admission into the EU, and have seen constant growth ever since then, says Jevgeni Grishin, Estma airfreight department manager.
-The over-all growth in Estonia's air cargo market in 2006 will probably be in the range between 10 and q5 percent, mainly driven by the increasing number of foreign companies localising production plants in Estonia, he says.
-Our airfreight customers are primarily in the ships spares, aircraft spares, telecom and electronics industries, but we do market Dangerous Goods and general cargo services as well.
-With little cago uplift capacity at Tallinn Airport we rely heavily on trucking and airline road feeder services to and from airline hubs including Stockholm, Amsterdam and Frankfurt, but the systems are finely-tuned and provides efficient services, says Mr Grishin.
Estma has offices in all Baltic states and employs 65 staff, including four dedicated to air cargo, at its main office in Tallinn.
