Aug 31, 2006 (newstodate): Danish regional airline Sun-Air is seeing its future with Dornier aircraft.
-We have decided to acquire three Dornier 328 jet aircraft that will be delivered before the end of this year, and are also negotiating the acquisition of up to six Dornier 328 turboprop aircraft for delivery in 2007, says Kristian Tvergaard, Sun-Air VP commercial.
-With the addition of the Doenier 328 jet aircraft we can introduce flights to new, more distant destinations than today, and as the two aircraft types share the same passsenger configuration this will allow a high degree of flexibility in future route planning, he says.
Sun-Air already operates a fleet of eight Dornier 328 turboprop aircraft, besides five Jetstream 32 serving short-haul thin routes.
Since 1996, Sun-Air has been operating routes for British Airways under a franchise agreement.
