Jul 4, 2006 (newstodate): SAS Cargo is working on a re-engineering of its stategy for the East European markets, and will announce new moves by this autumn.
-We definitely have targets for our performance in the individual markets and are seeking means to boost our results, says Kenneth Marx, SAS Cargo president and CEO.
-We would be happy to introduce freighter capacity in some of these markets, but this requires exporters and freight forwarders to share the risk and this is not exactly an easy issue.
-What we do now is primarily relying on airline trucking to and from Copenhagen Aiport, but another crucial element is our cooperation with regional airlines with a SAS ownership. We are currently talking intensely to airBaltic and I expect this to produce new results as well, says Mr Marx.
