Jul 4, 2006 (newstodate): Last month, more than 100 researchers from 24 countries met in Belgrade for a conference to discuss the future of air transport, and the role of research in air traffic management and a vision for the airports of the future.
The second International Conference in Air Transportation, ICRAT 2006 was hosted by the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering with the support of the Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection in Serbia and Montenegro.
In connection to the three-day conference, the event also feature workshops focused on a
vision for future airports and research directions in ATM.
The Conference was organised by the EUROCONTROL Experimental Centre and the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering of Belgrade
University. It was sponsored by EUROCONTROL, the EU Commission, and NASA.
