Jul 6, 2006 (newstodate): Following the arrival of its fourth Boeing 747 freighter, AirBridge Cargo has commenced three flights a week to Hong Kong from Amsterdam and Frankfurt via its Russian hub in Krasnoyarsk.
Two of the Hong Kong services will originate in Frankfurt, supported by one flight a week from Amsterdam.
The addition of the extra aircraft, acquired from Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA), has also enabled ABC to double its services between Japan, Russia and Europe to four flights a week through its commercial agreement with NCA.
ABC is also on course to take delivery of three more Boeing 747s in 2007.
Two more Boeing 747-200Fs will join its fleet in January and March.
In time for its winter schedules, AirBridge Cargo will also take delivery of its first new-build Boeing 747-400ER Freighter. The airline has two -400ERFs on order with a list price of US$450 million. The second -400 will enter service in 2008.
