Jun 29, 2006 (newstodate): Air Greenland is planning to open its first route to a US destination by next summer.
Plans are to start operations between Kangerlussuaq/Sdr Stromfjord and Baltimore from May till September, 2007.
If warranted by the market reponse, Air Greenland will consider year-round operations.
The carrier currently operates year-round flights on routes between Copenhagen, Denmark, and Kangerlusuaq, and summer-flights between Copenhagen and Narsarsuak with Boeing 757/Airbus A330 aircraft.
