-Already within the next 18 months we intend to add two or even three new markets in Eastern Europe, says Mark Skinner, Swissport VP Business Development and Projects, Division Europe, Asia, Africa and Middle East.
From the start of June, Swissport, together with its partner Ukraine Airlines International, is offering handling services at Kiev Boryspil Airport, Ukraine, and plans to add two more Ukrainean airport including Odessa shortly.
Since December 1, 2004, Swissport has been offering handling services in Budapest Ferihegy Airport, Hungary, as its first East European market, while it lost, in 2005, in its bid for a concession to build a new cargo terminal at Belgrade Airport, Serbia.
Swissport has also signed an agreement with AirBridge Cargo to cooperate on buildling Krasnoyarsk Airport into a strong air cargo hub for freighter services between the Far East and Europe.
