Jun 15, 2006 (newstodate): Contrary to various Russian media reports, the Scandinavian airline SAS does not consider opening a new route to Samara's Kurumoch Airport.
-I recently visited Samara as participant in a campaign named Sweden Udgrade, and we are of course continuously monitoring the Russian and CIS markets, says Marita Pedersen, SAS general manager sales Russia & Cis.
-We do not, however, have any plans for flights to Samara, nor to other new destinations in Russia and CIS in the near future. The markets are hugely interesting so we do of course keep a close eye to trends and potentials here, he says.
