Jun 16, 2006 (newstodate): SAAB 2000 that operates near jet-speed remains a popular aircraft, much in demand by the market.
By the start of this year, SAAB Aircraft Leasing's inventory comprised no SAAB 2000 aircraft, all being in the air with customer airlines.
-We do get SAAB 2000 aircraft back when lease contracts expire, but we basically dedicate them to serving our current airline customers rather than to seek new clients in the market, says Dag Waldenstrom, SAAB Aircraft Leasing VP.
-Airlines find the SAAB 2000 option attractive as it allows them flexibility in route planning, offering a choice between a larger Boeing 737 and a smaller SAAB 2000 to match changing market demands.
