Jun 6, 2006 (newstodate): Romania's Timisoara Airport expects a significant increase in traffic in 2006.
The airport is planning for two new destinations in Europe and Canada from this year, including a route to London by British Airways, and a route to by Skyservices Airlines to Toronto.
According to the airport's latest estimates, passenger volumes will increase by 25 percent to 640,000, aircraft movements will grow by 11 percent to 23,200, and air cargo will be up by 46 percent to 2,200 tonnes in 2006, compared to 2005.
