Jun 22, 2006 (newstodate): Syrian Arab Airlines is expected to expand its fleet of Russian-built aircraft.
In the plans are orders for three IL-96 and four TU-204 aircraft.
Included in the current talks are plans for Russian providers to engage in the development of Syria's transport infrastructure.
Syrian airlines currently operate Russian aircraft types including IL-76 freighters, TU-134, TU-154, Yak-40, and Yak-42 aircraft.
