Jun 20, 2006 (newstodate): Korean Air Cargo has decided to re-structure its services in the Swedish and Danish market.
From August 24, Korean Air Cargo starts operating two Boeing 747-400F flights between Seoul and Vienna through Stockholm Arlanda.
From the same date, the carrier will reduce its services at Copenhagen Airport from currently five to three weekly operations.
-The essence is that while maintaining the current number of flights, the split in destinations allows Korean to enhance its service in the Swedish market while the Danish market will now gain in total capacity by not having to share especially the critical Saturday departures with Sweden, says Henrik Spove, Weco-AirCargo general manager.
-Finland will also gain by this reallocation as Finnish exporters will now be able to feed easily into the Saturday departures at Stockholm, while this was not the case with the departure from Copenhagen.
-Korean Air Cargo also maintains its thrice-weekly services at Oslo Airport, so in total the restructuring of Korean Air Cargo's Nordic services represents a significant enhancement of its sales potentials in all markets, says Mr Spove.
