Jun 15, 2006 (newstodate): This month's meeting in Belgrade for JAT representatives at stations abroad was presented with the airline's plans for future longhaul operations.
Among the major news were that JAT will commence services to North America from 2007, after attempts to launch services this summer were aborted due to a sustained Cat 2 rating by FAA.
Already by the end of this year, the carrier will start negotiations with airlines including American Airlines and United Airlines over possible code-share agreements enabling JAT to offer a comprehensive US coverage from the start.
