Jun 20, 2006 (newstodate): Iberia Cargo has strengthened its position in the Scandinavian markets, according to its cargo GSA.
-The carrier has introduced more capacity by swapping its former MD-80 aircraft with Airbus A320 family aircraft in the current program, says Jrgen Westh, Cubic Air Cargo manager, serving as the carrier's cargo GSA in the Scandinavian markets.
-Upgrading to A321 daily services from Madrid to Copenhagen and Stockholm has attracted many new costumers, primarily concerning shipments of ships spares and pharmaceutical products to many of the Spanish islands.
-Also the easy transfer of containerised cargo on the A321 to the carrier's onward Airbus A340 flights to the Middle East and Latin America has increased the attraction of Iberia Cargo in the Scandinavian markets, says Mr Westh.
