Jun 8, 2006 (newstodate): In May, Finnair Cargo generated a total of 7,826 tonnes of cargo - up 2.2 percent y-o-y.
This brings the total of cargo volumes in January-May to 37,189 tonnes, an increase by 1.8 percent.
Cargo on scheduled traffic increased in May by 4.2 percent to 6,833 tonnes, again driven by cargo on the Asian sectors, up 12.9 percent to 3,696 tonnes.
North Atlantic cargo also grew, up 8.6 tonnes to 744 tonnes, while cargo on scheduled cargo charters declined by 8.5 percent to 967 tonnes.
Also down was European air cargo, to 2,058 tonnes, a drop by nine percent.
The overall cargo load factor in May was 57,8 percent, down 4.2 percentage points, while the load factor on the Asian routes was 72.5 percent
