Jun 19, 2006 (newstodate): The Faroese airline FaroeJet has come off to a good start since its launch of operations on May 15.
-Our performance is well within budgets, all flights have performed according to schedule, and we will now add a second daily flight between Vagar Airport and Copenhagen during the peak season from June 23 to August 13, says Petur Rasmussen, FaroeJet manager ground operations & charter sales.
-We are also amidst negotiations concering our second BAe 146 aircraft that we may take in earlier than originally planned for the turn of the year when we will introduce all-year twoce-daily services.
-We have still not hit our original target for cargo, and we will now discuss the issue with our GSA, ProActive Airline Services, aiming at a joint intensified campaign to market our cargo products.
-Interlining of air cargo is also of key importance, and we have now started talks with SAS CArgo to reach an agreement with them as a first step, says Mr Rasmussen.
