Jun 16, 2006 (newstodate): Air cargo is on the rise at Hungary's Budapest Ferihegy Airport.
In May the airport generated a total of 6,746 tonnes of air cargo, up 12.1 percent, y-o-y.
During the past 12 months, cargo traffic reached 78,315 tonnes, a 0.8 percent increase compared with the same period in 2005.
-We are continuing to see strong year-on-year growth at Ferihegy, in both passenger numbers and in cargo, though, as forecast, at a slower rate than in recent years, says Stewart Wingate, Budapest Airport CEO Designate.
