Jun 21, 2006 (newstodate): Effective from July 2, Latvian carrier airBaltic plans to start teo new operations at Kaliningrad, Russia's Baltic enclave.
The carrier will offer flights four times weekly between Riga and Kaliningrad and between Copenhagen and Kaliningrad, using Fokker F50 aircraft.
A route between Copenhagen and Kaliningrad was earlier operated by Danish regional airline DAT, but services were suspended due to weak demand in the market.
airBaltic will contract Kaliningrad-Cargo to serve as its cargo GSA and handling agent in Kaliningrad
