May 31, 2006 (newstodate): TAV Georgia that holds rights to operate Tblisi and Batumi Aiprorts for 15.5 years sees bright prospects for air traffic at Tblisi Airport.
A total of 21 airlines currently serve Tblisi Airport, with airBaltic and SKAT as the latest newcomers from May.
But TAV Georgia expects this number to increase further before the end of this year, including expectedly "a Boeing 747 operator" that plans to offer connections to Bangkok and London.
Besides, the new operator hopes to see more cargo traffic calling at the airport as well.
