ay 29, 2006 (newstodate): Swedish airline West Air Sweden has embarked on a major fleet expansion comprising a total of 10 ATP freighters.
West Air Sweden won the contract from Post Norway for nightly postal flights and is now dedicating six of its total of eight ATP freighters, currently based in Sweden, to this operation.
The current fleet expansion comprises the acquisition and conversion of three ATP aircraft from Danish Sun-Air.
The first of these has already been converted, the second will arrive this week, and the third converted aircraft will follow in August.
In addition West Air Sweden has ordered seven converted ATP freighters from BAe, to be delivered successively.
