May 31, 2006 (newstodate): SkyEurope has secured pre-delivery payment and long term loan financing for its four new Boeing 737-700 aircraft to be delivered in the second half of 2007.
SkyEurope has mandated Bank of Scotland Corporate to manage the issue.
SkyEurope has committed to take 16 of these aircraft from Boeing and has purchase rights on an additional 16.
The first 12 deliveries, of which four are already in SkyEurope's fleet, are to be financed under operating leases from GECAS.
The remaining four, to be delivered in 2007, with a combined value of USD 220 million at list prices, will be the first aircraft directly owned by SkyEurope.
