May 19, 2006 (newstodate): With effect from June 1, handling at Copenhagen Airport of Singapore Airlines Cargo will change from the current SAS Cargo North terminal to the East Terminal.
-While we remain with our partner, SAS Cargo, the change is nonetheless rather important as we will now be located at the airport's dedicated cargo area, says Kim Irmov, Singapore Airlines Cargo regional manager Nordic and Baltic region.
-At the new location we will have our freighter parked right outside the terminal, with the ability to have all export shipments lined up beforehand at the parking stand, facilitating fast and orderly loading and unloading. Also from June 1 export shipments and documents will be delivered at the same point, adding to safe procedures.
-Our current parking stands next to SAS Cargo's North terminal is located in the passenger area of the airport which makes cargo handling more difficult within the restrained space limits, says Mr Irmov.
