May 4, 2006 (newstodate): Romania's Timisoara International Airport expects large increases in its traffic volumes.
According to the airport's latest prognosis, passenger volumes will increase by 25 percent to 640,000, aircraft movements will grow by 11 percent to 23,200, and air cargo will be up by 46 percent to 2,200 tonnes in 2006, compared to 2005.
To cope with this the airport has formulated a Strategic Plan for the Development of the Infrastructure of the National Company Timisoara International Airport 2005-2015, which comprises a series of investments and modernizations, with a total value of about EUR 96.04 million
