At a round table conference, Facility projects of East Russia, plans were revealed comprising projects estimated to cost USD 550 million and slated for completion by the end of this year.
The Karsnoyarsk Cheremshanka Airport's runway will be extended, and new air cargo and passenger terminals are to be constructed.
A new Boeing aircraft maintenance facility is also comprised by the plans.
Russia's largest airline conglomerate, AiRUnion is behind the projects as will finance 45 percent of the costs, with the reigonal government to provide financing of the remaining costs.
