May 29, 2006 (newstodate): JAT is now sending aircraft crews to SAS Flight Academy at Stockholm, Sweden, in preparation for Boeing 767 flights.
While JAT was forced to postpone its launch of Boeing 767 operations from Belgrade to New York and Toronto from this summer due to sustained low safety rating by FAA, the company seems confident to rise to Category 1 standards from this autumn, paving the way for the long-awaited resumption of North Atlantic services abrogated by the civil wars.
