May 31, 2006 (newstodate): Hochtief has emerged at the winner of the USD 300 million contract to upgrade Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport's Terminal 2.
The company thus beat competitors Vinci, Lotte, Strabag and IC in the tender.
The reconstruction work to expand the terminal to a total of 240,000 sq m will start now and is slated for completion in late 2007.
In the process, the revamped Terminal 2 will also be connected to the airport's new Terminal 3, now being planned.
