May 15, 2006 (newstodate): Danish producer of GPU equipment, AXA Power is seeing the Russian market booming this year.
-Through our Russian distributor we have just landed orders for some 50 new GPUs to various Russian airport projects, and we now expect to sell between 100 and 150 units in the Russian market in 2006, says Ture Bergholt, AXA Power Area Manager Russia, Scandinavia, and the Baltics.
Only in March, AXA's 2006 sales estimates for Russia stood at "between 20 and 40 units".
With these latest sales, Russia is becoming AXA Power's single largest market.
In early May, AXA sent four units to Rostvertol Helicopter Plant, as well as 10 GPUs destined for Perm Airport.
