May 4, 2006 (newstodate): After mulling plans for start of operations between USA and E Europe for years, Baltia Air Lines again seems determined to launch flights from this autumn.
The carrier will lease a Boeing 747 aircraft, and plans to offer once-weekly services between New York and St Petersburg during the first four to six weeks, later increasing to three weekly services and, after the first six months, to five weekly and finally daily flights.
Air cargo between Russia and the USA is said to be in the focus as well.
