May 10, 2006 (newstodate): Azerbaijan airline Azal will receive its fourth Airbus A320 family aircraft, an A319, in June this year.
The airline received its first A319 in September, 2005, and has so far ordered one A320 and three A319 aircraft.
In an interview the Azal director general has said he does not expect the airline to order more aircraft in the near term.
In 2004 the carrier also ordere a total of four AN-140-100 aircraft from Ukraine, but they remain grounded since an aircraft of this type had an accident at Baku in 2005.
The aircraft will remain on the ground till the investigations, still underway, have come to a conclusion.
