May 8, 2006 (newstodate): On May 16, 2006, the EBRD board will pass their final accept of the project for a new passenger terminal and other issues at Armenia's Zvartnots International Airport.
The proposed project involves the completion of the construction of a new international passenger terminal, the upgrade of airside facilities and the procurement of new terminal equipment at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan, Armenia.
The American International Airports LLC has obtained a 30-year concession to manage the airport operations, and EBRD plans to inject a USD 30 million loan.
The new terminal is designed to handle 20-30 aircraft movements per day.
