May 8, 2006 (newstodate): The Kazakh airline Air Astana negotiating with Boeing and Airbus for acquisition of six new aircraft.
Air Astana is expected to sign up with Boeing for three long-range aircraft, probably Boeing 787 Dreamliners, and with Airbus for delivery of three Airbus A320-family aircraft.
The contracts are to be signed in September this year, sources say.
