Apr 25, 2006 (newstodate): US Airways has named Danish provider ProActive Airline Services its Scandinavian cargo GSA.
From June 4, the carrier will operate a seasonal direct route between Philadelphia and Stockholm Arlanda with a Boeing 767-200 aircraft offering a cargo capacity of 6-7 tonnes.
The summer program will comprise 126 flights during the period ending on October 8, 2006.
Beyond this period, the cargo GSA will sell USAirways cargo capacity on the routes out of Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
ProActive Airline Services is now setting up a trucking network in Scandinavia to feed to and from Stockholm Arlanda during the summer season, and for the winter season a trucking network connecting Scandinavia and Amsterdam, Frankfurt will come into effect.
ProActive Airline Services opened its office in Stockholm, Sweden on April 15, 2006, initially to serve Iceland Express in the Swedish market.
