Apr 27, 2006 (newstodate): The Ukrainean carrier UM Airlines, Ukrainian-Mediterranean Airlines, has launched a new route between Kharkov and Baku, Kazakhstan.
The route will be served once weekly with the carrier's DC-9 aircraft.
The carrier considers the development of Ukraine's regional airport to have top priority and has formulated a strategy on this basis.
UM Airlines that first flew in April, 2000, operates a number of charter flights from Kharkov to Istanbul and other Turkish destinations, and scheduled flights between Kharkov and Kiev Boryspol.
UM Airlines operates a fleet comprising one Airbus A320, four DC-9, one TUPOLEV-134, and one ANTONOV-24.
