Apr 24, 2006 (newstodate): Following on a presidential decree on February 20, 2006, the Russian prime minister has now signed a resolution on establishing a unified Russian aircraft-building corporation.
Retaining at stake of at least 75 percent in the new unified organisation, companies to have state stakes transferred into the new corporation's charter capital include the Sukhoi Corporation, Aviaexport, Ilyushin Finance Co., the Gagarin Aviation Plant based in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in Khabarovsk territory, the Ilyushin Aircraft-Building Company, the Sokol Plant based in Nizhny Novgorod, the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant, the Tupolev Company and Finansovaya Lizingovaya Kompaniya.
