Apr 12, 2006 (newstodate): On April 10, the new Russian airline Air Bashkortostan launched flights on its route from Ufa to Moscow, using Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
The airline will eventually operate eight Boeing 757-200 aircraft transferred from VIM-Avia in addition to four other aircraft provided by the ministry, bringing the initial aircraft fleet to 12.
Air Bashkortostan has been set up in 2005 by VIM-Avia in cooperation with Bashkiria's Ministry of Property.
