Apr 6, 2006 (newstodate): With effect from May 1, Danish cargo GSA ProActive Airline Services has been named GSA for fledgling new airline FaroeJet.
FaroeJet plans to start daily operations on it first route between Vagar Airport, the Faroe Islands, and Copenhagen from May 1 with a leased Avro RJ 100 aircraft.
The new carrier will compete with Atlantic Airways that has been alone in serving the route since Maersk Air pulled out on October 31, 2004.
FaroeJet will introduce new cargo products named FaroePack and FaroePack Super that include a number of value-added services.
