Apr 6, 2006 (newstodate): NAP, Nordic Airport Properties, will start construction of a new cargo terminal at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport by August.
-Plans comprise a 5,00 sq.m. terminal, with 3,000 sq.m. dedicated to TNT and 2,000 sq.m. reserved for SAS Cargo/Spirit pending their final decision on whether to join the project, says Annica Sveholm, NAP project manager.
Plans also comprise some 1,00 sq.m. office space at the mezzanine level.
-Projecting work on the terminal will start by May, and soil excavation will follow by July-August, she says.
SAS Cargo/Spirit will decide on its partication at a board meeting in mid-April and report back to NAP thereafter, which will determine the eventual szie of the projected new cargo terminal.
NAP, a joint venture between the Swedish CAA and Airis, will finance and build the terminal and rent out the premises to its users.
