Apr 28, 2006 (newstodate): flyLAL, Lithuanian Airlines, is keen to see its air cargo volumes up, but even more intent on raising the value of the cargo transported.
In 2005, the company generated a total of 1,450 tonnes of air cargo, and budgets an increase by more than 10 percent for this year.
During Q1, 2006, cargo volumes were 335 tonnes, five percent above budgets at 317.7 tonnes, and seven percent up on last year's Q1 figure.
-But we are even more eager to increase the cargo revenues as well by adding more value to our cargo products through the introduction of internet-based services, customised express and door-to-door products, and enhanced road feeder services, says Andrejus Trimailovas, Lithuanian Airlines cargo manager.
